Today was the day that I took part in something for the first time.
I donated blood. I have always been afraid of needles (yet love tattoo’s) to much to even consider it however recently I’ve been thinking about how lucky I am to have the blood type I do.
I am O Negative, lucky enough to match every other blood group out there. I felt it was my responsibility to share this with people who need it, I’m doing my bit to save a life, or lives.
The 475ml that I donated will go to between 4-6 people. Some at the end of their lives, some at the beginning.
I’m proud of myself for doing it, something I never believed I would be able to go ahead with.
I also got some little stickers for my planner and journal too, so that was a bonus:)
For anyone who is considering donating I’d urge you to go check it out. It is incredibly rewarding.
