The Blerb:

This is a book primarily for children.

It is about a boy Verne and his friend Liz. Set in Whitby the story is about magic, witches and a very old grudge.

Will they be able to save the seaside town before it is taken by the sea? Have a read and see what happens.

Review:

I read this book prior to meeting the author which will be discussed in another post.

I really enjoyed the story even though it is for children. It has all the elements of a great fantasy novel. The fact that it is set in a seaside town near me makes it even better as I can see it all in my minds eye.

Robin illustrates his novels and there are little pictures all the way through.

The book is enjoyable and the characters are likable. It’s an extremely easy book to read and even as an adult it’s a great read.

There will be an opportunity to win a signed copy of The Power Of Dark in an upcoming post so if you are interested keep your eyes peeled.

Thanks for reading.
