Book Buying Habits Tag

#booktag #bibliophile

I am back with another book tag today. I was tagged by the lovely Debbie over at My Eclectic Reads🙂

Where do you buy your books?

Anywhere I can find them. Usually it will be Amazon however, I purchase American covers from Book Depository. I always scour charity shops as there are loads of hidden gems in them.

Do you ever pre-order books and if so, do you do this in-store or online?

I have and do. I pre-order from Amazon. I currently have about 4 books on pre-order.

On average, how many books do you buy a month?

That depends and varies a lot as I get a lot of books sent to me for review and I use free resources such as bookbub, kindofbooks etc. I would say I purchase a minimum of 2 per month at least.

Do you use your local library?

Unfortunely I do not at the moment as I owe a fine from about 13 years ago which I am paying off. Once I have then I will be for myself and the children.

What is your opinion on library books?

I love them, they are a fantatic way to keep people reading.

How do you feel about second-hand books?

Equally, I like them. They show character. Obviously I don’t want them covered in food etc v

Do you keep your TBR pile on your main bookshelf, or no?

My entire shelf is my the pile

Do you plan to read all of the books you own?

Yes, otherwise I wouldn’t buy them.

What do you do with books you feel you will never read/did not enjoy?

I donate them to charity or give to friends who may enjoy them

Have you ever donated books?

 All the time.

Have you ever been on a book buying ban?

Nope, book prices fluctuate so I often buy them when they are reduced.

Do you feel that you buy too many books?

Never

Thanks for reading and I tag all of you to have a go at this tag challenge. Feel free to drop a link to your post in the comments

  1. Fantastic answers. I wonder what the answer would have been if the third question had been ‘how many books do you add to your TBR lists each month?’ 🙂
