Shadowsong, this is the sequel book to Wintersong which has become an all time favourite.

Love this blog post! Harry Potter, nooooo. I did like the ending but I had a better idea in my head about an alternative ending. I guess I read them in my childhood and grew up with them so its a little different book to film rather than film to book, I only know this because my husband hasn’t read the books and so the conversations surrounding what wasn’t in the film and the detail was quite a substantial difference.
