Avon 2018 Planner Review

The other day I was browsing the online Avon catalogue while buying a dressing gown for my daughter. As if by magic there was some stationery. Matching pack of 2 notebooks for £8.50 and a planner for £6.50. I bagged this bargain planner as it looked pretty and I was still on the lookout for a desk planner for next year.

The planner arrived and I have to say it’s well worth the low price tag.

The outside is hardback black and white stripes with gold writing, closure band and coils. It’s A5 in size.

You can just see the tabs popping out for the 3 sections within the planner. There is Diary, Addresses and Notes. The tabs are rounded which is a lovely touch and are on dotted grey and white dividers.

The inside is pretty standard. There is an introduction page, week on 2 pages, a-z addresses and lined note paper. The paper quality isn’t amazing but it isn’t bad. It’s white, not too thin but not completely smooth either. I haven’t done a pen test yet. I’ll add a link in separately when I do.

At the very back is a little wallet to slot bits in. It also comes with a Gold pen with blue ink, the pen feels quite cheap if I’m honest. There is a pen loop for it as well.

All in all this is a lovely little budget planner. The only thing it misses is a monthly overview, if it had that then I’d sing it’s praises all day long.

Thanks for reading.

  1. Wow, I would never have thought to check out Avon for stationary! Thank you for sharing this, I will defiantly be giving the catalogue a closer look in the future. It would be interesting to see how it works out for you in the coming year, and if the lack of monthly overview is too much of an issue. I suppose you could always keep some printed calandra or a tiny month at a glance only diary in the pocket, would perhaps make planning easier if nothing else.

    1. I generally have a monthly overview in my EDC so I’m hoping it won’t be too much of an issue. I was thinking if it is I will print one for each month and just pop it in the little back wallet:)
