It’s A Family Thing. The Spooky Tale by Sue Wickstead {Review}

A Spooky Tale by Sue Wickstead

Hey Everyone,

Today Alexis and I have a book review for you. Unfortunely due to Ill health, Christmas and other general life stuff this has been a little delayed getting out.

Originally we received the book back in October when we first read it.

This was different to Sue’s other books which we have read (Jay-Jay The Playbus) but it was still just as entertaining. You can see my other review here

Alexis really enjoyed this book and all the different elements and it is still one if her favourites now.

This book tells the story of a group of children who go on a walk with their teacher. Their walk becomes a great adventure and without spoiling it for others, it is fun.

If you have any young children I would highly recommend this book. It’s got a great story and illustrations.

You can find more of Sue’s work here on her Website.

Thanks for reading.

  1. I am glad that you and Alexis had fun reading the book.
(Yep, sometimes life gets in the way but at least you enjoyed the book.)
It is different to Jay-Jay but there is always a bus in the book somewhere!

  2. WOW, What a colourful looking book. My son who has just turned 6 may enjoy this, or my youngest daughter who is 3 this year may grow into it. Its now on my TBR list. Jennifer

  3. I know you can’t give any spoilers (not even with kids books!) but it sounds like a story where the kids end up using their imaginations to see amazing things… I guess I’ll have to get a copy for my niece and find out!

    1. With a map to follow.
Maybe you could draw a map of your walk!
      Imagination is the key!

    1. Written with the children in the class for a school teacher.
My school teacher friend is going to use it to inspire her drama class.
