Review

I am a new reader to Tom Rimer and being a fan of horror I was instantly intrigued by the blurb.

Not one to be easily disappointed I was gripped from the first page. The introduction to Simi and Mags pulled us in and we were put straight into the relationship between them and Simi and his father, Abe.

The pace was absolutely perfect and I adored the description of places, feeling and emotion that Rimer writes. I could picture the Ward house in my minds eye in a way that would undoubtedly drag me inside despite its gothically creepy charm.

I really liked the creepy Malevolent Nevers and how they were described. The reaction to them by the cast of characters and how it all came together was so well done and it left me reading long into the dark nightly hours finding myself jumping at the Foxes howls from nearby fields.

If you are a fan of creepy horrors with a supernatural element then I would recommend this book for you 100%. Brilliant book that ticks all the boxes.
